olympics fun
i love shaun white. i love shaun white. he is so, so, so hot.
could not stop crying about michelle kwan. why must the olympics always make me so emotional.

I'm old enough to be ashamed that I think the Tomato is hot, but I do.
I cried about Michelle Kwan too. I feel so bad for her, but as a long-time fan I'm really proud of her for making a tough decision. A more selfish athlete would have kept quiet about the injury and taken another shot. She forsook her last chance at her ultimate dream to give the team, and another athlete a shot.
I think the world would be a better place if more people were like her.
Seriously, I respect her a lot more than someone who might have tried to go for a personal gold rather than give her country and team a better shot at success. Mad props.
I think he seems like such a nice, normal guy! All of the snowboarders do, actually. We were dying the way they'd change coverage over to something else leaving you wandering if he would win!!
I don't completely know what to think about the Kwan saga. I do respect her on both counts, though---trying as long as she could to overcome the injury, and when she knew that would fail, removing herself. Rough, rough times for her, but she took the high road.
I will say, though, that I wanted Emily on anyhow. I'm curious to see what she can do. And Kimmie, I'm liking her more and more. She's just very serene.
I'm 31, old enough to know better.
I'm blogging to read about how my life is going to change so in a year when I'm re-reading posts I sigh happily with how far I've come.

I really respect Kwan's decision to remove herself from the team. It had to be so tough for her. She'll always be gold in my eyes though.
